SMART CONNECTIVITY AND APP CONTROL
The Autel MaxiCharger AC Ultra sets a new standard for smart connectivity in commercial Level 2 EV charging. The unit connects via Bluetooth, wi fi, Ethernet, and 4G LTE, giving operators flexible options for network integration depending on site infrastructure. Ethernet connectivity through a dedicated Ethernet cable provides the most stable connection for high-traffic commercial deployments, while wi fi and 4G cellular options allow the charger to connect at locations where running a cable to each parking position is not practical.
The smart features of the Autel MaxiCharger AC Ultra are managed through the Autel Charge App and the Autel Charge Cloud. The Autel Charge App provides smart app control from any mobile device, giving EV drivers and EV owners full control over active sessions, live data on charging speed and energy consumption, and detailed insights into session history and usage patterns. Through the app or the Autel Charge Cloud, operators can manage multiple charging stations remotely, configure RFID card access, set session parameters, and deliver firmware updates without on-site visits. For additional product information and support resources, visit the Autel Energy website or the 7Gen support portal. The charger supports OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1, ensuring broad compatibility with third-party charging management platforms. For security, RFID card authorization, QR code scanning, and ISO 15118 Plug & Charge are all supported, allowing sites to choose the access control method that best suits their users and business requirements.
INTELLIGENT LOAD MANAGEMENT AND EFFICIENCY
The Autel MaxiCharger AC Ultra features Intelligent Load Management, also known as Dynamic Load Balancing, which distributes available AC power across connected chargers in real time to prevent over-current events and protect the site's electrical supply. When two vehicles charge simultaneously on the dual port unit, the system automatically adjusts output to each port based on available capacity, maximizing efficient charging for both vehicles without exceeding the site's electrical limits.
Output amperage is adjustable from 6A to 80A per port via DIP switch or through the Autel Charge App, allowing operators to customize the ev charging experience based on site capacity and vehicle requirements. Built-in protection covers under voltage, over-current, ground fault, and surge conditions, supporting safety and long-term reliability for both the charger and connected vehicles. At full 80A output per port, the charger delivers 19.2 kW of efficient AC power. Energy consumption is tracked per session and per unit through the Autel Charge Cloud, giving businesses the data they need to manage electricity costs and report on charging infrastructure performance.
INSTALLATION AND MOUNTING OPTIONS
The Autel MaxiCharger AC Ultra offers flexible mounting options, available as either a wall-mounted unit or a floor-standing pedestal variant. The wall-mounted version is well suited to parking garages, indoor commercial facilities, and locations where vertical surface mounting is preferred. The pedestal variant sold as a standalone floor-standing unit is ideal for open parking lots, fleet depots, and any location where wall mounting is not available. Both configurations integrate the charger unit with a cable management system that keeps the charging cable organized and reduces wear over time.
The enclosure is constructed from high quality materials and carries a NEMA 3R rating, providing protection against outdoor weather conditions including rain, sleet, and ice. The durable housing is equipped to handle physical impact in high-traffic commercial environments, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. The operating temperature range of -40°C to +55°C ensures the charger performs reliably across the full range of Canadian and North American climate conditions year-round. For sites with Ethernet infrastructure, connecting the charger via an Ethernet cable provides the most stable network link and is recommended for deployments where consistent session reporting and remote management are a priority.
AUTEL MAXICHARGER AC ULTRA PERFORMANCE AND USE CASES
As the market's most powerful dual port AC charger, the Autel MaxiCharger AC Ultra is capable of delivering 19.2 kW per port. As a powerful AC charger serving two vehicles simultaneously at full output, it can add approximately 75 miles of range per vehicle in 60 minutes, making it well suited to commercial charging stations, fleet depots, workplace parking, hotels, and any ev charging environment where charging speed and vehicle turnover are priorities. The 8-inch HD touchscreen delivers a modern ev charging experience and can also serve as a platform for photo and video advertising, helping customers and businesses generate additional revenue from their charging infrastructure.
The connector type is SAE J1772, ensuring compatibility with virtually every electric vehicle sold in North America, from a compact car to a large commercial van, so no customer is turned away due to connector mismatch. The Autel MaxiCharger AC Ultra is part of the broader Autel MaxiCharger AC product line. For sites where the full 80A per port is not required, the Autel MaxiCharger AC Wallbox is a more compact alternative delivering up to 9.6 kW (40A) or 12 kW (50A). The Autel MaxiCharger AC Wallbox user guide is available on the 7Gen support site.
